Is moving from Phoenix to Philly a good idea?

Moving to Arizona...Good or bad idea?

  • I am thinking of moving to the Phoenix area sometime this summer by myself...good idea or bad? Like are jobs there?? Is rent cheap for a nice place?? Thanks!

    Phoenix is a beautiful city with lots to offer. Right now the economy is bad like everywhere else in the US so I'd hate for you to come without any job prospects. Rent would probably be the most reasonable in the suburbs avoiding Scottsdale. Try Peoria , Glendale, or Surprise. It will certainly be warm this summer but everything is air conditioned so no big deal really. I hope you have a car because the public transportation system here is less than desirable. Good luck.

im new here and Id say its a bad idea if i could I would move to LA instead

Depends on what you are leaving to come here! If you're leaving CA for Phoenix, I'd say Bad Move! If you are leaving a place like Detriot, then it's a really good move. Phoenix is nice, and has a lot to offer......but gets really really hot in the summer. If you love swimming and hanging out at the lakes, then you'll love the summers. Summer time is the worst time to move down because you'll just be in shock if you've never felt heat like we have here. This is the same reason why rent is still affordable. Many people tend to move away after summer, but still, so many people move here every year.
