Where to meet people (women) in Phoenix?

• I'm going to Phoenix in August for 2 weeks with some people. The thing is, they're all over 21 (I'm 20) and I have a feeling that I'm going to have to find some things to do on my own. I was just wondering where I could meet some girls? Someone on another forum recommended hitting up the local University (I think it's ASU) and try to meet some people there. Is that even possible in August? I'm a social person, but I just don't know. Thanks.

  In August it is pretty hot here. Still you should be able to find some people to hang out with down by ASU, that is not a bad suggestion at all. I would try going down to Mill Ave. That is where most of the college crowd hangs out. There should be people there, the college dorms start to fill in during August and a lot of students have nothing to do but kill time on Mill. Mill Ave. is just West of the ASU. There are some restaurants, coffee shops, a movie theatre, lots of shops, a park, and bars (for your older friends). Take my advice, and if you can get out of town while you are here. All the best parts of AZ are outside of town. Tombstone, Flagstaff, Payson, Sedona, The Grand Canyon, Minx Mountain, White Mountain Apache, any of our gorgeous lakes, Prescott, the Coronado trail, even heading down to Nogales, Mexico, is a worthwhile venture. Just don't forget to haggle. They expect to haggle prices with you, it is part of the fun. Have fun, try to stay cool. There is a fun water park in Mesa called Sun Splash, if you guys need a day to play.
