Is Yuma, Arizona a great place to raise a family? What is best elementary school?

Yuma is a very family oriented place....the only down fall is that there isn't much there when it comes to entertainment. It's hotter then Phoenix, but it's closer to CA then Phx is, so weekend San Diego trips are a lot easier when you want to get away from the 113 degree temps (2.5 hrs). Stay away from the "old Yuma". That's the areas you see off of the I-8 Freeway. A lot of people judge Yuma from what they see off the freeway. Yuma is growing, but for me, it still lacks entertainment. They do have the new Casino just outside of Yuma. http://www.playqcr.com/
