What attractions/activities are there to do near Yuma, AZ?

Yuma is a destination city for Snowbirds during the winter months. About 80,000 of them travel from the higher latitudes to escape the cold and snow. These people are good for local economy which has been suffering in recent years. There is not a whole lot to do in Yuma. There are no amusement parks. The only thing really worth seeing is the historical Yuma Territorial Prison. If you were a golfer you could tee off at several nice courses. If you were 21+ you could gamble at the casino. Being a teenager on spring break I think I would opt for another destination like Palm Springs or Lake Havasu. You don't say where you are coming from. Have you thought of San Diego? There is no time to get bored there. It's about 3 hours away and an easy drive on I-8. Yuma is more of a spring break town for your parents, not really for your age group. Yuma used to have spring training baseball there, but the Padres moved to the Phoenix area a few years ago so baseball is not happening anymore. They do have a minor league team called the Scorpions.
