What do you think of Arizona? Is it a good place to live?
-
I live in what is known as the ''green state'' meaning it rains a LOT. I live in oregon and i hate it. It is always raining and it is so so so so boring , nothing to do at all. For all you people who live or visited Arizona what do you think of it and do you think it is a good place to raise a family and what about jobs? How its the economy and prices there? Thankyou

Answer:
You know it depends on what you are looking for. I was born and raised there. We moved to New Mexico in 1997. We have been happy here, but go back to Phoenix area at least 4-5 times a year. Phoenix has everything to do there. There is mountains in the North and Lakes everywhere. Phoenix is an non-stop place to live, with plenty to do . It is hot there, but most ot the time you are indoors during the hottest part of the day. Yes i do recomend living there. We would still be there if not for a job op.

We are in the process of moving to Scottsdale from Vegas and so looking forward to it. I know the school systems are excellent out there. We enjoy the heat and living out west. I guess each person is different and always depends on the area you are looking at. There is alot of things to do out in Phoenix area with kids! Good luck to your adventures as we are!!! :)
I personally love it here, although I live in Maricopa, AZ which is a small city. Very small. I like it, and I love the heat! It's perfect and there's always stuff to do. And as far as jobs, it depends.

Heaven, shut up. Obviously it's not fun the first few months 'cause you're adjusting to the heat. Since you don't like rain, I would recommend living in Arizona. I will admit, it is tough getting used to the heat at first, but once you're used to it, it becomes no problem. Gilbert was rated one of the best cities to raise a family, so that's a plus. Also, there is SO much to do, you can find something to do almost every weekend. But don't get me wrong, it's not hot all year round. In the fall, it's nice to go to the Riparian Reserve and look at the wildlife. Also, Arizona has some great areas to go hiking (if you're in to that sort of stuff.). But yeah, I love it here, and I have never even thought about moving.

I love AZ. It's about time someone kicked the illegals out. And for those of you boycotting from Boston, you have no idea about this problem. I don't think a single illegal lives in Boston. Think about it this way: One farmer has a bad insect infestation and decides to use chemicals on them and the other says, "Hey don't do that, those insects are living beings." And the second farmer decides to stop trading with the first because the first is taking initiative and is fixing a problem. For those that live in L.A., if you love the illegals so much, then why don't you just invite them to your city to steal your jobs, receive free education, free hospital visits, and not pay any taxes? How would that help your dying economy?

Phoenix is beautiful Stay in your house or inside from 10-4 though. The heat is unbearable... unless you have a pool. It's a wonderful place. It is a big city though so there is crime and such. But Gilbert is such a family-friendly city you won't realize it.

To be honest, it sucks here. My husband and I moved out here a year ago from Florida hoping to start a new life. It never happened, we just ended up miserable and regretting moving here. It's hot as HELL for 6 months out of the year (from May thru October) and there is absolutely nothing to do. I suppose if your'e a native to this place and you know nothing else...I frequently hear natives say ''stop whining, it's not that bad here''. This website/blog pretty much sums it up...and I would think twice, especially if your'e from the east, about moving here. You will likely not fit in. www.arizona-sucks.com EDIT: Obviously, the heat has left everyone who answered (except me) with no rational thought left. Have fun living in HELL.
