Very bad idea. You need an income at least temporarily so you can settle in until you find your next job. It's better to be organized then in turmoil. Good luck!

How do you expect to begin to pay for expenses? Do you have enough money saved to give you a cushion of a few months? I suggest you keep looking and start scheduling interviews!

yes everyone knows the economy sucks, what if you cant find a job? you are going to lose your haouse because you cant afford it and you will not be able to buy food or anything else you need. Find a job first, or at least fill out like 20 applications and hope to death that you get a job

The unemployment rate is one of the worst in this country. Businessmen are taking fast food jobs. Oh, and you have to live in Maricopa County for a set period of time before you get food stamps or anything like that, so if you move down here and tank you're doubly screwed.

Sometimes it's easier to get a job once you land in the new city - when you have an address that is local, once you get to meet people face-to-face, when your network can put you in touch with target employers quickly and easily - it's not unrealistic to think that you could get a job once you are there faster than when you were out of the city and living somewhere else.

It's bad moving to any city without a job during these times.
