Where is a cool place to live in southeast PA?

Where is the best place to live in PA?

  • I am thinking of moving to PA and I am looking for a good small town to raise a family. I am from CT so a quaint new england style town preferably. Something with a strong community around 5,000 or less. Something that isn't in the middle of no where but not too close to a big city either. Something that has all of your needs and maybe some shopping but nothing really busy and crowded. Thanks!

  • Answer:

It would be best for you to find a home in Chester County PA. It is just far enough that the scenery and homes are beautiful. East Goshen, West Chester, Phoenixville, etc...they will be to your liking and the schools are some of the best in the state.

I like the area around Hamburg http://www.hamburgpa.org/ I live just north of Allentown. Good schools (Parkland) but the crime is moving North of Allentown. Alot of New Yorkers moving in the area, the troublemakers. The Central part of state is nice. Check out the taxes first. I live 1.5 hour from New City 1.5 hour from the Beaches and 1 hour from Phila and 45 min from the Poconos.

How about Hershey, Pa? A little larger than you want, but when the wind is right, the town smells like chocolate.
