What to do in Philadelphia ?
-
I've lived in the suburbs of Philadelphia for my whole life, but since I've never been a fan of the city I prefer to take the train to New York when I want to be in a city. Anyway, my boyfriends cousin and his girlfriend are coming to visit this weekend and I was hoping someone could give us advice on things to do. We're all in our early twenties and I have no interest in taking them to see the liberty bell or any museums. We don't want to see anything historical. The suggestions don't have to be in Philadelphia, just within driving distance. So far the only thing I can think of is possibly Hershey park.

Answer:
If you don't mind going to Philly, South Street is always fun. It totally depends on what you guys like to do though. Philly also has a free concert series that might be fun http://www.visitphilly.com/events/philadelphia/summer-concert-series-at-penns-landing/ also, since theyre here this weekend, you HAVE to take them to see fireworks. I mean, its Philadelphia on the 4th of July. its like the largest fireworks display in the county. http://www.visitphilly.com/articles/philadelphia/fourth-of-july-in-philadelphia-wawa-welcome-america/ but for things to do outside of philly, hershey park/dorney park are great and i know it sounds lame, but if your cousin or whoever isnt from here, you can take them to lancaster. a lot of people not from PA have never seen Amish people and thing its neat. if you go there, you can go to Shady Maple, a big Smorgasbord thing. LOTS OF FOOD. you should seriously ask them what they want to do too. they may want to just spend the whole time at the shore. they also may want to be kept busy the whole time. you can go horseback riding (no one needs to know how, they'll help you there) also if you google "local fairs" or something like that, you can find a ton of towns around you having carnivals and all. good luck! have fun!!!!

Maybe Dorney Park? Six Flags? WildWood? L.B.I.? Going to clubs? Point Pleasant?
If you are all over 21 years old the perfect place to go to would be Atlantic City. They don't just have casinos but also have shopping malls, a beach, and an amusement park. Here is a link to their main website. I hope this is helpful. http://www.atlanticcitynj.com/visitors/thingstodo/default.aspx
