Visit Independence National Historic Park to see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Declaration House and Benjamin Franklin's home. Historic Philadelphia neighborhoods include Rittenhouse Square, Old City and Society Hill. Another historic site is the Philadelphia Zoo, the country's first. Dutch Country is a relaxing and rewarding experience. Central to the area is Pennsylvania's scenic Lancaster County, just one and a half hour's drive west of Philadelphia. Doylestown about 25 miles north of Philadelphia in the centre of Bucks County (of which it is the county capital), is renowned for its Historic District which contains more than 1,000 structures dating from between 1851 and 1910. A very good restaurant Artful Dodger great food and atmosphere! A British pub typically Dark Horse with Paul, the Irish-owner never dissapoints. things most philadelphians like to do...The younger crowd...Hang out on South st and Kelly and MLK drive along the Schuylkill river.is probably the most popular for them. Main st in Manayunk is similar to SOuth st but is geared to the little bit older..The parkway, from 17th to the Art museum, several mus ems including the Franklin, Natural science, Rodin mus ems..Most tourist gravitate to Independence Mall and Penn's landing area, both in walking distance of each other...One of the pleasant things about philly, most of the attractions and places of interest are within 3 miles of each other..Have fun..And if you want a real cheese steak you don't have to go to Pats in South Philly, Just remember, downtown Philly is geared for tourist, the more left and right of center u travel ull find genuine philly food and normal prices..
