Where should I park in Philly?

Where to Park in Philly?

  • I am planning to stay in Philadelphia Downtown Marriott from Nov 27-29 which is fri-sun. The daily parking is 43 a day. YikEs~! Can anyone give me some suggestions where I can safely park my car overnight or is there a garage where I can pay by the day and go in and out for something cheaper like around $20 a day? Also can anyone let me know of asian populated areas to go? I know there is a Ctown but anywhere other than that? I have been to Philly 2 times but never really had a good time and hoping this time would be fun. Any info on doing things there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

There are other garages nearby where you can park for closer to $30 per day, but you'll pay everytime you leave the parking lot. Whatever you do, don't park on the street or you'll be going to the PPA to get your car back and pay a lot more money.

The area of the city you are staying in is expensive because it has created for tourists and convention goers and the best you might be able to get is the parking lot located across the street from the Reading Terminal Market. (Parkway lot) Its $27 for the day and its located a block from your hotel and very close to alot of the day action. You would probably be better off jumping on and off the bus (go to Chestnut Street and catch any of the buses to head towards the trendy sections of the city) its $2 each way. The fun sections of Philly (for all people) is South Street, Old City, Delaware Avenue and Manayunk, (will need the car for that trip). Each of these areas of the city are full of night clubs, great restaurants and in the case of South Street great places to shop. Have fun!

There is a garage at Broad & Pine that is open 24 hours and charges $25 a day. If you don't have a lot of luggage you could walk to the Marriott from there, although it's a bit of a way to go, maybe ten blocks. Maybe drop your luggage off first and then go park. You don't need a car to get around for the most part.
