What is the address of the Greyhound bus station in Philadelphia, USA?

How safe is Filbert street in Philadelphia? Particularly around the Greyhound bus station?

  • The address is 1001 Filbert St. What is the area like around 1AM? I will only be walking from the parking garage to the bus station. Anything to worry about? I hear a lot of crazy stories on the news about Philly.. just slightly worried, any info would help, thanks

  • Answer:

around 1 am, you will find a lot of homeless nobodies, however, police are very present. also, the bus station is downtown, which is an area that is not like the rest of the city because there are a lot of important things downtown, like the convention center, several museums, etc. i'm sure you will be fine

You do not say where you are from or what you are used to. Center City Philadelphia - away from the residential areas - is a strange place at night. There are big buildings, but not much to be seen of the people who are there in the daytime. Filbert street is not really near the 'redeveloped' residential districts of center city, and can be a bit rough at night. The other respondent mentioned tha there are a lot of police around, and of course, that is for a reason. Be aware of your surroundings. If you feel particulaary fearful, you can ask one of the policemen for advice.
