What are home prices like in Philadelphia suburbs?
-
What are average home prices like, for an average 3-4BR, 2.5 bath in good condition (ideally a cape, colonial, or split-level) in the Philadelphia suburbs? Specifically interested in areas N and W of town such as northern Chester, Montgomery, or southern Bucks county, within a 30min commute of downtown. Hoping to find some areas with decent homes in the $200-250k range. Any recommendations on safe areas that are good for young families with kids?

Answer:
You might find something in Havertown or Drexel Hill. If you are willing to go out farther, maybe Exton area. $200 -250 won't buy you much around here.

I can answer for Bucks County, nice areas in your price range would be Croydon zip code 19021 or Bensalem 19020. Bensalem is bigger and more populated with better access to stores but the price range would be more difficult to fit. Good Luck!!!
