Anyone have any good ideas for an extended graduation party/trip for a group of about 5 girls from central PA?
-
My friends and I are graduating this year and we're all hosting our own graduation "trip" instead of just a one-night party with favors and decorations etc. One friend invited us to her aunt's house in King of Prussia, PA for a long weekend of shopping and sightseeing. I'm bringing everyone to a lakeside cabin for a week in August, but since it is a family trip, I'm allowed to also do something else. Does anyone have any good ideas for a small trip for about 5 girls who live in central Pennsylvania? Especially ones we could do ourselves without needing to bring parents. Simple suggestions could work just fine, so if you can think of anything, just say. I'm planning on doing more research, but I want to see if I can get any personal recommendations. Thanks very much!

It's funny that you live out there and want to come over here, cause I probably vacation closer to you. If I had the chance to go anywhere for a week and my have my parents foot the bill. I would go to Knoebels Grove in Elysburg. See if they will rent you a cabin for a week. King of Prussia is okay to visit, but you can't really spend a week there. It's about 20 min from my house and I can't really think of much else that you guys would want to do around here, since we probably have the same thinks you have out there... just more expensive. I mean if you spent a day in KOP at the mall they have an IMAX theater, and then another day you guys went to Center City to visit the historic sites for a day or two but that's really about it.

Jersey shore. NOT like the MTV show. Goto Stone Harbor or Cape May. Or Lake Harmony up in the Poconos. KoP's ok. The mall is big but kindof bland. It's a mall. That's about it, just a big one. You could myb goto a Phillies game, they're awesome live. It's like a big party there. Everyone has a good time.

Don't stop in KOP...keep going! KOP doesn't really have much more to offer than a mall, hotel, banquet rooms and a park. It's a nice area, and all of those things are nice, but when Philly is just another 10 miles away, you need to finish the trip. Check out: www.foobooz.com I've always used that site for restaurant suggestions and other ideas. There are so many good places to eat that it's silly to try and just narrow it down to something you've done before. I'd suggest a Phillies game too.
