Is Philadelphia, Pa a good place to live?

  • What are the good areas? I'm 18 and me and my friend (both from new jersey) are getting an apartment there but I know nothing about the good and bad areas etc.

    It all depends on what you mean by "good" and what your likes and dislikes are. There are dozens of different neighborhoods in Philly and each has its own flavor. Center City is exciting, but expensive unless you live in a tiny apartment. There are a lot of young people in Northern Liberties and Manayunk, although Manayunk is pretty far from downtown. Fishtown is an affordable area a reasonable distance from downtown. East Falls, Queen Village, Roxborough, Bella Vista, and some parts of South Philly are more residential. The college areas in West Philly and around Temple would be fun for someone your age too. Good luck.

Philly is, cool it's definitely not like jersey . I actually know ppl from jersey that always come here to party . But any area here can be good or bad .
