Answer:
That all depends on what part of Pennsylvania you're interested in. I lived in the Philly suburbs, so I can tell you about that area. With regard to the weather, it's nice and mild in the summer (at least compared to the deep south where I'm originally from). And in the winter, you get snow, but since you're near the coast, you don't get nearly as much as the western side of the state. It was just enough to make it feel like a real winter. Of course, if you don't like cold at all, it's probably not your cup of tea. As far as things to do, it's an ideal location. In addition to all the things available in Philadelphia and the immediately surrounding areas (restaurants, wineries, shopping, historic areas, etc.), it's just an easy drive to the Poconos, the Jersey shore (including Atlantic City), Baltimore, Washington, and NYC. If you get bored there, it's your own fault because there's just so much to do. And although I wasn't thrilled with the people in the city, the people in the suburbs were super nice, in general. The downside is that it's expensive. I was living on an engineer's salary and still found things to be tight. Housing costs in general are pretty high and property taxes are through the roof. But overall, I really liked it.

i LOVE living in pennsylvania! where i live is the best, it is super safe weather wise because there are no major weather problems, such as blizzards, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc. i live outside of philly, about 30 minutes drive along the main line (which is a wealthy suburb) if you are considering moving to PA, look around the main line it is an amazing place!!!

I can't think of anything good to say about living in PA, unless you like extremes in temperature. It's like The North Pole during the winter, and Arizona in the summer. I personally don't like the four seasons. PA is a pretty depressing place to live, in my opinion. The people aren't very interesting.
