What are some safe neighborhood in Philadelphia?

Is the neighborhood directly west of south philadelphia where the stadiums are safe to walk after a game?

  • the Eagles game is at 8:30.... after the game the hotel is on 2033 Penrose Avenue, Philadelphia....is the neighbor hood between the hotel and the stadium a safe place to walk back to the hotel after the game?

    There's not a whole lot between the stadium and the hotel. Are you an adult, and will you be with other people? I wouldn't walk that alone at night, that's for sure. There's a methadone clinic around that area that a lot of crazies roam in and out of.

Skyview tower? Used to work down the street. Yes, it is fine. Walk past the hotel everyday Some of the best houses in S. Phila in those developments. Scared of bogeymen in $300,000 homes? Besides cops are all over to protect the residents from riffraff fans from taking packing spots or barfing on the lawn.

That address would still be South Philly. The area would be safe to walk, but that would be quite a hike from the Linc. It's about a mile and a half walk.

It's safe but a long way. There is a subway station at the stadium and I would assume that there would be a station closer to the hotel (but I'm not sure). The subway after a game is 100% safe and packed with Eagles fans because that's the best way to get to and from the stadium. Check with your hotel and they will know the best way.

The only thing WEST of South Philadelphia is Southwest Philadelphia, on the other side of the Schuylkill River. The neighborhood around the Skyview plaza hotel is fine, just don't cross Penrose Avenue and end up int he projects.
