its my roomates mom's birthday in a few weeks and we were looking at the Spirit of Philadelphia but were wondering if there was anything else interesting to do in the city for her birthday.

Answer:
Depends on budget and interests. The Melting Pot in center city offers Ladies Night Out some nights with special drinks. Maybe a show at the Walnut? I find the Spirit to be better with large groups, in all honesty.
