Is Southwest Philly a safe area to live?

Is 19703 area of Delaware close to the philly border a safe area to live?

  • We are planning on moving to Namaans road of Delaware and I'm not sure how safe and secure it is? Any help would be appreciated.

    The border of Philadelphia is 17 miles away from the PA/DE state line. It is NOT closer to the border of Philadelphia. However, Boothwyne, Marcus Hook, & Chester PA, and Claymont DE are not "high rent" neighborhoods. I'd rather live in Philadelphia.

Actually the state line is only 12 miles from the Philadelphia City Line on I-95. When I lived in Claymont, I got home from Phillies games before my friends who lived in the Northeast and Montgomery County. Naamans Road runs along the PA-DE state line. There are many nice developments off Naamans Road. And Claymont is a lot nicer than it was 10 years ago. It's very safe.
