Are there any really great views in Philadelphia?

Good views in Philadelphia, PA?

  • Somewhere romantic I could take my significant other?

  • Answer:

For a "cityscape" why not go out to Belmont plateau with a picnic lunch. You can see all of the big building in center city while sitting in a very nice park. Strolling down Ben Franklin Parkway is as nice a city walk as you can find anywhere in the US. Dinner at the Chart House with a window seat gives you a neat view of the river, Camden (which looks okay when lit up at night) and the riverfront sites.

South Street can be romantic at night. The hippies/goths/homosexuals/"stylish" folks go there on Friday and Saturday nights. FDR Park. Art Museum. Olde City (historic section) has carriage rides. Concerts. Personally, I think a Phillies game, but it's the wrong season. lol And no, don't think "Fairmount Park." It has some very beautiful places in it, but it's a haphazardous place. Most of it is dangerous, even near the Japanese House and Garden.
