What is Pittsburgh like?

  • Anyone familiar with the town of Pittsburgh? What is it like? What's better Pittsburgh or Philly?

    Pittsburgh is a old steel town it used to be a lot of steel mills but most are shut down now. There is still lots of things to do, the strip district is one of the more popular areas of the city it has shopping, bars and restaurants. There is some sections that are to good to be in but every city has that. It is cheaper than Philly and has less crime I am sure you find more things to do in Philly it being a bigger city. Pittsburgh is a nice place to live most everyone treats others nice and gets along and we have the STEELERS!

Pittsburgh is alright. It's like a second home to me, since I go there so much, haha. Parts are very run down, some parts are pretty nice. Lots of hills which makes for some pretty unique views of the city. Overall, it's not a bad place. Not my favorite city, but not my least favorite either. I have never been to Philadelphia, but I would assume the crime would be much worse there. Houses are probably more expensive too. There is probably a lot more to do in Philly.

Philly and Pittsburgh are like comparing apples to oranges. Philly is larger and has a more urban feel to it, much like NYC. Pittsburgh is more midwestern, but has many of the things you would need in an urban area, just on a smaller scale. Pittsburgh is cheaper by far, Philly is closer to most things and has more things to do in general. You should check them both out before making a decision, each is unique.

my sister lives their it has crime but nothing like Philadelphia Weathers cooler people don't move to Philly they move away but if you move to old city or north east its cool their also in west Philly near city line ave its a nice place to live with less crime then north Philly south west and some parts of west Philly

I have never been to Pittsburgh but my dad said there isn't that much there. Philly all the way! Philadelphia has everything and a lot of culture.
