Which is better Seaside or Wildwood?

Which is a better social vacation spot the go to? Wildwood or Seaside NJ?

  • i wanna know where is a better place for girls, clubs, and overall fun?..im not lookin for a grown up type of place..im 20yrs and i wanna pick a good spot to go to..Wildwood NJ or Seaside Heights NJ???

    Seaside is a dive. Too many New Yorkers there in their wife beaters and huge gold chain necklaces. Wildwood is as much of a teens through 25 party town (which is why most people over the age of 28 refer to it as Childwood and move on to places like Sea Isle and Avalon for bars/clubs). Wildwood has quite a few huge clubs too. Seaside boardwalk always seemed creepy to me, and I hated to go there to stay with my b/f's friend. Wildwood is families near the family amusement pier and up till about 9:30 pm. Then the families go home and it's teen and 20 somethings.

Seaside is good for the younger crowd of Northern NJ and New York. Wildwood to me seems like the younger Philly crowd. I guess it all depends on your preference they are both hopping party beach towns. Remember welcome to the Jersey shore- come on Vacation, Leave on Probation ! Hehehehe

No contest: Wildwood! I'm from Wildwood, so I'm biased. I think Seaside Heights is the worst of the Jersey Shore spots. If you go to Wildwood you'll have Cape May, Stone Harbor, Avalon, and Sea Isle all within your reach.

Seaside is cleaner and nicer than Wildwood, but is definately a town geared towards families. Since you're only 20, I would definately suggest Wildwood - there's alot more people your age and more activities than Seaside. Have fun...wherever you decide to go!

Seaside is for the younger crowd, but its chock full of bars and at 20, I'm not sure if this is going to help you at all. If you were 21, I would say Seaside no questions asked. I was never into bars, but you might be able to get in just can't drink. Some places still do 18 to enter, 21 to drink - but I'm not sure how the Seaside area does it. I think Wildwood is more family oriented and geared towards younger kids. That doesn't mean there isn't stuff to do for you. I would say Wildwood is safer than seaside (again, due to the more family atmosphere). Depending upon where you come from, Wildwood might be farther and not worth the drive (its nearly 1.5hrs farther south than Seaside). But anywhere at the shore attracts a party mindset and you would probably have a good time.
