Are there Taxis available at Philadelphia International?

What is the cost of taxis fares in philadelphia?

  • Traveling 6 blocks?

  • Answer:

The taxi service is timed and metered. Therefore, time in traffic versus distance can add up. Some advice catch the train if you can, you will come out cheaper. Philly's traffic is so bad that every morning I wait and extra half hour or more and I am right there on the broad street exit. The clocks keeps ticking whether you are moving or not. As a result, you tend to pay a large sum of money. Unless you have it like that, take the train if you can. My advice to you is see how the traffic is in that area, if it is reasonable than a taxi will not be so bad. But if it is jammed, don't bother. Trust six blocks may not seem like a lot, but get stuck in Philly traffic, you never move.

Pretty high. Airport to downtown are set and are $25 or so. Traffic sucks, like any major metro area at the peak times so be prepared. You might consider taking SEPTA, it's much cheaper but less convenient.
