What do feel are the three biggest problems facing Philadelphia?

Some of Philly's biggest problems include: - high rate of poverty (this is related to poor educational system and violence problems) - aging infrastructure (this is a common and expensive problem in our older cities: streets, bridges, sewer systems) -Skewered tax structure (this includes the wage tax, business taxes and property taxes)

The high rate of murder, especially among blacks and against other blacks (read the statistics PureDeli), but murder in general is at an all time high. Terrible education for anyone who can't afford a charter school The awful amount of corruption and the publics inability to care or do something about it.

I would say the violence first off. The public schools, and third I don't know but i hope our new Major does something to help

A tax structure where businesses don't want to locate in Pennsylvania and more specifically in Philadelphia which leads to there being no jobs and poverty. A culture of not cooperating with the police, which makes criminals believe they can get get away with anything. Governor Rendell who has become so hated in the rest of the commonwealth over the tolling of I-80 to give money to mass transit and taking casino revenues from the property taxpayers it was intendeded to build an arena in Pittsburgh, that any legislation that helps Philadelphia or Pittsburgh in anything is automatically voted against by rural legislators so they don't look they are with the governor to their constituents.
