What are the best places to visit in Philadelphia?

What are the good places to visit in philadelphia?

  • i am coming there for a week and havent been there before....can anyone guide me

  • Answer:

I would recommend staying in a hotel in Center City, preferably the Olde City or Rittenhouse Square neighborhoods. You should visit: -Philadelphia Art Museum (! - this can take up a whole day), Franklin Institute, and the Academy of Natural Sciences (these two can be done in a day) -South Street (best at night) -National Constitution Center (timed tickets; buy in advance if you can) -Penns Landing (nice for a morning or afternoon walk) -Take 'the Constitutional' (it's a historical walking tour that will see you through to the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House, etc.) -Reading Terminal Market - the oldest continuously operating farmers market in the US -If you have time, take the train or the ferry across the river to the NJ Aquarium at Camden.
