How far is Philadelphia airport from the city?

How do you take the train from the Philadelphia airport to Atlantic city?

  • I'm thinking about hitting up atlantic city, but since their are few flights that fly there, i was going to fly from philadelphia (is the train station by there) to atlantic city (does the train run by there as well?) It's only about an 1 1/2 hr. train ride. The reason i'm not going to fly directly to Atl. is becuase it's $964 opposed to$199.60 to phil. any help would be great!

  • Answer:

From the airport there's is a train that will take you downtown to the 8th & Market St. area, (just asked anybody when you get on where to get off). Once you get downtown You want go to 10th& Filbert (behnd the Gallerey Mall) This is where Greyhound Bus Sta. is loc. .Now from Gryhnd You can broad a bus (New Jersey Transit) leaving Hourly Express to A.C.. It about an hr. half ride, the bus Route # is 551 and that will take in to A.C. (your trvl time shd only be 2 .45 hr total) Fare will run less than $20 rnd trp. If you bus sta. trv. tm is 2 hr.or less,

You can take the SEPTA R1 line when you land in Philly, and take that to 30th Street Station (kind of like Philly's own Grand Central). WHen you're at 30th Street, you'll want to find the New Jersey Transit line. They used to actually call it the Gamblers' Express, but I haven't heard that used in awhile. The whole trip--with waits and transfers--will probably take over 2 hours.
