Four gals travelling to Philadelphia in May........where's the best place to stay?

    I grew up in Philly, but hadn't been back since college. Last summer I took my family (we have small kids) back to visit my old hometown. The Rittenhouse Square area is still in the "safest" part of town, has plenty of hotels and restaurants, and you can get to anywhere else in town by cab for $5-$7. Park your car at the hotel and just take a cab. We stayed at the Radisson Plaza-Warwick, which is less expensive but still an old grand hotel. Here is a link to the rest of the hotels. You would want to get a hotel in center city because all of the stores, restaurants, and hotels are there. There is also clubs there if that is one of the things you are looking for. Center City is the main attraction of philly. If you look up Hotels in Philly on your toolbar it will direct you to numbers. I live in philly, but I just know the names.
