What is a nice family friendly hotel in south florida?

Curious what happened to the hotel I stayed at with my family in ORLANDO Florida (1997)?

  • I stayed in a hotel in Orlando while we went to Disney called the Gateway Inn. It doesn't appear to exist anymore and I was just curious what happened to it. From what I can recall, it was just off International Drive and within walking distance of a Perkin's restaurant. Maybe an Orlando resident or a frequent visitor knows about this hotel? Thanks :) 10 points to BA~

There is a hotel called Ramada Plaza Hotel Gateway. 7470 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34747 There is also a Perkin's practically right next door 7451 Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746 I have never stayed there, so I don't know if this is the same hotel or not, but chances are it just changed names/ownership since last time you were there in 1997.

I think it is called the Imperial Swan now.

With hotels one of two things happens. 1: They get bought out by another chain or fall under new managment and the name is changed. 2: They go under and the building is either knocked down or turned into something else (hotel or not). There are so many hotels off International that chances are it is number one. If you really need to know you could always call city zoning.
