What is the weather usually like in Orlando, FL in October?

Can anyone who lives in FL tell me the weather.?

  • Hey I'm heading down to FL in a couple weeks (particularly the Tampa, Orlando area) and I was wondering what the weather is like in late October? I want to wear shorts but I don't want to be cold if the weather's changing....what do you suggest?

  • Answer:

You're looking at averages in the high 60's at night and mid 80s in the day. Usually dry then but there's always a chance of a hurricane or tropical storm that time of the year (although it's a pretty slim chance). Best thing you can do is check the weather a few days before you leave. Keep in mind all buildings are a/c and they are usually set pretty cold so a light jacket isn't a bad idea to keep with you.

Still in Hurricane Season by then. So it could go either way. Shorts will be fine. Probably highs in the low 80s. Normally it doesn't rain in the winter months, But you could be getting hammered by a hurricane. Watch the weather channel before going

as a golfer, i have a water resistant jacket and pants set, so i wear it over my polo short sleeve and shorts, comfy shoes or tennis. mornings are very cool and the afternoon gets nice and warm.
