looking to take a trip to clearwater beach florida and needa hotal within walking distance to a family friendly beach and restarants and suggestion would be helpfull. On a low budget too so nothing to expencive. Personal experiances please!

yeah go to St Pete...all Ghetto mostly...and the construction isn't all over Clearwater either...just a little bit going downtown to the beach....The Dunes..514 S Gulfview Blvd 727-441-4939...40.00per night..walking distance to beach...lots of places to stay...you just need to walk around...hotels on every corner it seems...

Right now, I'd avoid Clearwater Beach. They are doing an extreme amount of construction (both road and building). Anything in Clearwater Beach is going to be expensive. Look further south in St. Pete Beach for accomodations that aren't through the roof.
