How much Money should I bring to Islands of adventure?

• I'm going on a field trip with the whole eight grade, and they do not supply us any food at any time. We arrive at 9:30 am and leave at 10:30 pm. We are allowed to go on our own for the whole day. I need money for food which is all day, and drinks. And also I need money to buy a picture of me and my friends on the Roller coaster, money for a 20.00 fast pass, and money for a couple souvenirs. How much do you think I need?

  Well, first, have you double checked the price of the Express Pass? You must go to Universal's website, type in the exact date you are going and get the price. Prices are lower in the off-season (when you really don't need one anyway), but I don't believe it ever goes that low, so you need to check on that. And also, Islands is a pretty small park. If you are going to be there all day, you really aren't going to need to spend that extra money, anyway. For food, about the best you can expect is $10-$12 a meal. Realistically, it would probably be better to plan on $15 a meal. So are you eating 2 meals there, plus snacks? I would want to bring $50 at least for food. If you are doing anything fancier (sit-down meals), you'll need more. Pictures cost about $20 - not sure of the exact current price, but that's very close. And a couple souvenirs - well, a T-shirt will cost at least $20. If you want a nice sweatshirt or hoodie, at least $30. Or if you just want a couple of pens, $10. So it really depends on what you can spend. If you can get as much as $50, that should let you get one nice thing and maybe some smaller thing(s).
