What can I do in Orlando, Fl?

Going to Orlando, Fl with our 3 year old for a day. What can we do there for her?

  • My husband's sister will be flying in to Orlando, FL for a day for a conference and we live only 4 hours away. So we have decided to visit her while she is out. We have never been there before and was wondering what we could do for our 3 year old. We are looking for something not expensive but fun :) We are not going to Disney World or Universal. I am pregnant so we are waiting for after the baby is born. Also any good places to eat that is not expensive? Thanks

  • Answer:

http://www.greenmeadowsfarm.com/ A working farm and petting zoo located 15 or 20 minutes from Disney. http://www.gatorland.com/ Considered a half day attraction. Less crowded and cheaper than Disney. http://www.osc.org/ Orlando Science Center is indoors if there is bad weather. There is a hands on Kids Town on the bottom floor with hands on activities for toddlers and small children. As for places to eat that are cheap, fast, and good. We love Sweet Tomatoes in Lake Buena Vista. http://www.sweettomatoes.com/locations/restaurant.aspx?store_id=116&store_name=Lake_Buena_Vista TooJay's Deli http://www.toojays.com/locationsnew/locationlist_cf.html FYI Lowry Park Zoo is located in Tampa. In a really, really bad neighborhood. It is a two hour drive from Orlando and traffic and yes, there is always traffic between Tampa and Orlando.
