What colleges in CA allow you to choose your own roommate?

Florida colleges question?

  • Whats up guys, I'm done applying to schools, but that might change... I'm thinking about applying to a school in Florida that has a really cool/beautiful campus that will allow me to experience a whole new life outside of the normal Chicago scene. I wouldn't want to go to UF or Miami, not to mention i don't think i would even get in. My GPA is around a 3.5 and my ACT is 29 so im pretty much set for any other school i choose. Ive been looking at University of Southern Florida and also University of Central Florida as well. Can anyone persuade me to which one or does anyone have any other suggestions? Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone

  • Answer:

Both UCF and USF are newer sprawling campuses kind of out in the burbs. They are more utilitarian than 'cool' in my opinion - but very different from most older northern campuses for sure. Take a look at Florida Southern in lakeland - The original core campus is composed of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings. And then there is Florida State in Tallahassee - Older campus in a town with terrain. Flagler College in St. Augustine Occupies a former Grand Hotel of the 19th Century as Does the University of Tampa in Downtown Tampa
