Can I reserve my hotel without a credit card?

Looking for a hotel in Orlando that 18 year olds can reserve without a credit card?

  • Answer:

The 1st answerer is correct that there may be some that don't require a credit card, but those types of hotels tend to be the ones that have a lot of scary customers and a lot of "special" activity going on... think like 4 hr. specials and such. *~*~*~* You have to put a credit card on file to reserve a hotel room because that is the only way the hotel can be assured that if you skip out with a lot of damage behind they can still charge you for it. They also want it to be able to charge you a cancellation fee (if they have them) for you cancelling or just not showing up.

you might be able to find a dive motel that accepts cash, but they're not going to advertise online and they're probably full of hookers.

most likely nothing on your own, seriously...you need to be 21 AND have a deb/credit card for most hotels. But I would recommend doing what I did when I was in this situation....It was actually in Ft Lauderdale, when I was 18. We gave my mother money, she booked us a hotel from home and she got to talking with the reservations clerk to MAKE SURE we could get in . The person told us what we would need to bring with us to get in and not be questioned or anything. I cant remember exactly how it worked out, but we were able to drive down to FL and our reservation was waiting for us. Good Luck with this one

if you are reserving it in advance there is no way to get around the credit card. if you actually just walk in and pay with cash then you don't need a credit card but you will need to fill out personal info like your name and address in case you damage property or get room service and don't pay for it.

as a travel agent i can tell you that your going to have huge problems. you need to be a legal adult to check into a hotel and have a credit card for security reasons. you may find a really crappy motel that will allow you but i personally wouldnt risk it.
