I'm going on a disney cruise, what should I bring?

I'm going on the disney cruise with my son ..how much money should i bring? its couple days on land and sea?

  • Answer:

Well I think if you want to truly have fun and buy some fun things for your son, You should maybe bring around 2,500 or 3,000 dollars. Of course you probably have a credit card so the question should be "how much money should I spend?" HOpe this helps!

The answer depends if you mean actual cash or not. If you mean cash then: For your land part I would bring maybe $50 in cash. Almost anywhere you go take debit/credit cards including the small vendors. There are only a few carts that do not take cards. You can also use your Key to the World card at the places. It's your room key that is hooked up to your credit card. You can put down cash, disney dollars, etc if you don't want it hooked up to your credit card. For your sea I would say about $50 as well. The only time you use cash is for when you are in Nassau and then for tipping room service. The rest of tips can be charged to your room key which is hooked up to your credit card. We brought about $100 but used about only $10. Don't forget about tipping for transport to and from the vacation as well, such as taxi/limo drivers and baggage handlers. The ship doesn't have an ATM, but there are many around WDW. If you ment how much overall spending money then it really depends. While in WDW you'll need money for food, which can also depend on the amount you eat and where you eat. There's also souvineers both on land and sea. Lastly there are the tips for the castmembers on the sea portion. The only thing that isn't included food wise on the cruise is speciality drinks.

Don't bring much cash at all. On the ship everything you buy is put on your credit card including shore excursions you book through Disney. The only cash you need is for what you spend while in a port and it's safer to just use a credit card for these things too.

a good amout is equal to another person on the cruise so if you paid 1000 total bring 500...i have been on a ton and this formula always works for me

We just returned from a four day Disney Cruise. Everything you purchase on the ship and the private island will go straight on your credit card. Food and soft drinks are included on the ship and on the private island. Excursions can be charged to your account as well as any alcohol or souveniers that you purchase ont he ship. So, it just depends on the number of souveneirs you plan to buy. Also, you will need to set aside about $100 for gratuities which can also be placed on your credit card.

You shouldn't need much cash. If you are going to Castaway Cay, that's Disney owned, your cabin key will charge things bought there. We are going at the end of May, the only place I'll use cash is Nassau and there it won't be much. For cash I plan about 100 dollars per day per person. But I always wind up taking most of it back to the bank or paying it at check out. Have fun!
