When are the best days to visit Universal Studios Florida and Seaworld?

Best day/s of the week to visit Universal Studios Florida?

  • We are planning to go last week of March 2011 during the week to avoid weekend crowds. Easter is the 24th of April this year so no Holidays then only potential spring breakers. That I am aware of.. other than that are there better days of the week to go to the two Universal parks in Orlando? Also any tips on where to stay/avoid and deals or other advice is welcome. Thanks!

    Tuesday is the slowest day of the week at Universal. Wednesday is the second slowest day of the week. When the park first opens the crowds are the lightest gradually increasing through out the day. Spring break "season" runs almost six weeks here. It starts about the second week of March and runs through the end of April. Different parts of the country have different dates for spring break. If you are going in the first week of March the crowds will be far less than at the end of March.

You are correct that Easter is the worst; however, spring break historically runs from mid-March to mid-April, so you will be in the thick of the crowds, anyway. So because of that, it really matters very little when you go, because it will be packed. The most important tip is probably to get there when it opens and get as much done as you can before the bulk of the crowd rolls in. If you are going just to Universal, they do have 2 onsite hotels. Otherwise, I would advise staying on International Drive or renting a house or villa for more space.
