When are the best days to visit Universal Studios Florida and Seaworld?

Please help me determine which parks in orlando to visit?

  • My family and i (children are 16girl and 13boy) are travelling to Orlando Florida for a cruise and thought we would also visit the theme parts. We are from Australia so this trip probably would happen again. I know from Australian experience with theme parks that my children only really enjoy 2 of the 6 due to their age. On that basis, can anyone recommend or rank the theme parks i should see in Florida. Magic kingdom, Epcot, Holliwood studios, Disneys animal kingdom, Island Adventure, Aquatica, Seaworld, Universal studios and wet + wild. Also the 2 water worlds linked with disney. I understand that these are often packages but i dont have 11 days ion florida. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi, I love Australia. I am in Melbourne for about a month each year and love it. With your kids ages and also your first trip to Orlando FL. I would go a Disney package. You get everything in one easy package, room, meals, tickets. You also use Disney transportation to get from your Disney resort to all the Disney parks, shopping, water parks, etc. You could spend weeks at Disney World and not do everything. I would make sure you did Magic Kingdom at Disney World. They have rides you will all enjoy, a great parade and fireworks. EPCOT has a nice mix of rides for everyone and also great dining at World Showcase. My wife and I use to work for Disney so we can go on and on. Feel free to email us for and we can give you tips and advice. [email protected] Have a great time, Steve

SeaWorld is awesome if you love rollercoasters. I have a year pass to it. Manta is a new ride, where your facing head first on your stomach. Its so fun. They have kraken, another rollercoaster. And Journey to Atlantis, a water ride. SeaWorld, is where I would go.

With the kids being teens, and being a mother of 2 teens myself, stick with Universal Studios and the Island of Adventure. I hope this helps, if you have other travel questions feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] or you can visit http://www.wishyouwereheretravels.webs.com

Due to their age for Disney I think they'd enjoy Disney Hollywood Studios & Epcot the most. Disney Hollywood Studio's has a roller coaster ride, Tower of Terror and Toy Story (basically a video game ride). Epcot of course has Test Track, Mission Space & Soarin. Magic Kingdom can be fun but it is geared towards a little younger crowd. But for 1st timer's - I think you'd enjoy it and if you're never coming again - I would go there. I've never done the water parks at Disney - but my sister in-law used to work at Typoon Lagoon and said it was a lot of fun. I don't like Universal Studio's & Island of Adventure as much but that's just because all their rides feel the same to me (you sit in a box with a screen in front of you and they move the box to make you feel like you're going somewhere while you watch the screen.) My husband and I don't go there cause those types of rides cause him to get motion. SeaWorld is Ok. They do have the animal part - and now they have added on a section with rides. They have a few roller coasters. It's not my favorite, but it is ok.

From the Disney parks I would rank the Magic Kingdom #1. It has the most for all ages. Whether you go to Hollywood Studios or Epcot, depends on what you prefer. Hollywood Studios has a couple of thrill rides (Tower of Terror & Rock n Roller Coaster) & some exciting shows. Epcot has the Soarin', Mission Space & Test Track. The countries are very nice. Innoventions East & West is fun for kids. Animal Kingdom can be a half day park if you don't do everything. The Lion King & Nemo Shows are fabulous. They have the It's Tough to be a Bug Show & the Everest & Dinosaur rides. We don't bother with the safari. Sea World is very nice. Seeing the marine life & shows are great. They have a wrist band you can buy where you can eat & drink (non-alcohol) all you want in certain restaurants all day, & their food is very good. If you go here check into the Behind-the-Scenes Tours. Some are very nice & don't cost all that much, but they fill up fast. Aquatica is a wonderful waterpark. We liked it very much. We love the Disney parks, but enjoy Aquatica better than the Disney waterparks. We've never been to Universal, so I can't help you there. I've heard that it's exciting for children in the age group that your children are in. Don't forget the sunscreen & light rain jackets. Have Fun!
