When did the Disney World open its doors to the visitors?

How many Disney World visitors since opening?

  • How many people total have gone to Disney World since it opened in 1971? The number for Disneyland is 600 million but I can't find it for Disney World. Thanks!!!

    This is an educated guess based on guest attendance up until 1998, but it's probably around 1,000,000,000. It looks like another million goes by every 3 years on average. Here's a chart from Disney By the Numbers: 1st guest entered Walt Disney World on October 1, 1971 50,000,000 guest entered Walt Disney World on March 2,1976 100,000,000 guest entered Walt Disney World on October 22, 1979 150,000,000 guest entered Walt Disney World on April 7, 1983 200,000,000 guest entered Walt Disney World on July 20, 1985 300,000,000 guest entered Walt Disney World on June 21, 1989 400,000,000 guest entered Walt Disney World on August 5,1992 500,000,000 guest entered Walt Disney World on October 13, 1995 600,000,000 guest entered Walt Disney World on June 24, 1998 I just added another million to every 3 years, and got 1,000,000,000 for 2010. In all the Disney sites I visit, I have never seen an exact number for how many guests have entered the park. This is the closest thing I could find. I hope it helps!

Well, if Disney Land is 600 million, Floridas Disney must have had about 10 times that as it is bigger and can hold more people. at xmas the parks shut at about 12 becasue they get full and if you think that they hold about 100,000 + people, times that by 7 (coz if its open everyday at xmas and ends up shutting a lot everyday that a lot of people) I would have thought that Disney World has had twice as much if not three times as much as disney land hope i helped xxx
