Honeymoon Hotels in Orlando?

Orlando honeymoon help?

  • My fiance and I are getting married in May. We want to fly down to Orlando and spend a few days there for the honeymoon. Seaworld is the focus. We wanted to spend one or two days there. We also want to explore Orlando on the days we are not at Seaworld. What should we do besides Seaworld and what hotels will provide transportation to Seaworld and is also near the other Orlando attractions?

  • Answer:

Epcot is a nice place for honeymoon. Nice romantic dinner then a walk around world showcase and at the end of the night a fireworks show.

For a honeymoon Seaworld wouldn't be my first choice. We enjoy going to Seaworld, there is not as much to do there & because there aren't many rides there & they have the Sesame Street characters you'll find lots of kids there. Disney World (especially EPCOT) can actually be a romantic place to go & we've seen many honeymoon couples there. Strolling around the countries is lovely. Dining in France, Canada or Morocco can be quite nice. You could try dining at O'Hana's at the Polynesian or the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort. It's especially nice on an evening when you can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks Wishes. Since you seem to like marine life you'd probably like the Coral Reef, where marine life swim by while you're dining. There is so much to do at the Magic Kingdom too. It has something to offer for every age. If you enjoy rides & shows you'd like Disney's Hollywood Studios. Animal Kingdom isn't at the top of our list. There's a lot of walking on rough ground & not as much stuff for evryone, like the other parks. Since you are just starting out & may be on a tighter budget; Disney has the Value Resorts that are quite nice. Our favorite is the Pop Century. It's newer & has it's own bus. The 3 All Star Resorts share a bus, so it takes longer to get around. If you decide to stay on property at WDW & want to go to Sea World check the Mears Transportation site. When our daughter was around 5 (she's 17 now) we took their bus for $10. According to their site the buses cost a lot more now, but their taxi service seems resonably. Sea World isn't that far from WDW. Best Wishes to you & have a great honeymoon!

As others have said I really wouldn't recommend Sea World either. I went with family last year and its great for kids but, not so much for Adults. If you are into sea life in general I would recommend a day at Discovery Cove. It's a little expensive but worth it.
