What is the weather usually like in Orlando, FL in October?

Need help planning Disneyworld (Orlando, FL) trip in October?

• My husband and I are planning on going to Disneyworld, FL in October. He really wants to go to the water parks. Are the water parks Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach still open in October? and does anyone go? Also... We've heard it's the tail end of Hurricane season in October. What can we expect as far as weather? Are we going to get rained out every day?

  The water parks are open year round and during the winter the pools are heated, so you can go to the water parks during your visit in October provided the weather cooperates. Yes, people go to the water parks year round. Basically, if they are open people will come. Hurricane season runs through November, but that does not mean that a hurricane will hit when you are there. If there aren't any tropical storms, depressions or hurricanes you shouldn't have to worry about drastic rainfalls. Also, Disney has only closed their parks 4 times since they opened Oct 1971. 3 of those times were due to hurricanes and the other was because of 9/11/01. So, even if it rains the parks will be open. Unless there is lightning the water parks will be open.
