What to take on a trip?

What should I take to my trip to Florida, Disney world, the beach, and a cruise to the Bahama's?

  • PLAN: I live in DC, and I'm going for a one week vacation from the 19th to the 26th. First, were going to Florida (boring airplane ride *snore*) and of course, the first place we're hitting is Disney World, then after 3 days there, we're going to visit the beach for a day, then, for going on a cruise to the Bahama's. PROBLEM: I ALWAYS forget stuff when i go on trip (toothbrush, comb, Sunblock, you name it) Of course, everything else is ready (Airplane, Hotel, tickets for Disney World, Cruise [food is served 3 times a day while in the cruise] passport everything) Now, can anyone give me ideas on what to take? A list maybe? How many outfits should I take? (I'm 17, and I'm going with my 25 year old sister) So far I'm thinking I should take: -$500 to spend on whatever I want -7 dresses (I LOVE dresses) -PJ's -Toothbrush -Comb -Toothpaste -Makeup -Tanning lotion -Towel -LOTS of hair ties (I have long hair, and ALWAYS lose at least 3 of them) -Camera -7 changes in underwear -Bathing suit Okay, that's all I've got. Anything I'm forgetting? Any more ideas? By the way, what should I do with those boring ours on that plane? Never been to Disney World (or Florida, just to El Salvador) any place you recommend hitting while we're there? I've never been on a ship before, is it cold? Am going to get nausea's? >< Should I take snacks on the plane? Should I take accessories? Think I'm going to see any cute guys over there? I don't want to be all dressy dressy if it's only going to be a bunch of old geezers *yuck* And last but not least, should I take more than $500 for my spending needs? What would you recommend?

Oh Boy, level of excitement is well too high !!! LOL I would be excited too with such trip. Well, to add to your list: *At least 2 swimming suits, when humid they do not dry fast *Hair products( jells, sprays...) *Deodorant *razor *nail filer, nail polish(same you will wear to fix chips) *band aid, rubbing alcohol, tylenol, cold medicine, anti diarrhea (food can be not fresh) (you may not need all medical staff but if you will need it will cost you double there) *sunblock *sunglasses *$50 singles for tips *something to wear on your head like hat, cap whatever will protect you from sun for a flight, order movie, read a book, play sudoku do not forget to check with your airline what is not allowed in your carry on bag like liquids, sharp objects, jells all goes to check in About money, if it is possible credit card is better, if you loose it you will report, cash once lost is gone, lock it in the save in your room.

I think your forgetting a couple of really important things for Disney. - Shorts. Don't wear a dress to Disney. You'll find it is more of a pain in the *** and you'll be much more comfortable wearing shorts - Walking shoes , for both Disney and the cruise. Disney you will do a ton of walking, and on the cruise some of the score excursions could require a lot of walking.. depending on what your destinations are or if your just going to the beach. They also usually have fitness centers and lots of activities like that, so they are just good to have. - I would bring more than 7 pairs of underwear. Always bring more than what you will need, especially if you are going to the beach, and swimming. You could be changing multiple times a day and you don't want to be wearing the same underwear all day, after wearing the same ones around disney. - Bring your hair straightener or curling mousse if you use it. If you don't you can always run out to Wal-Mart or Target while your down there. - Face Wash, Moisturizer - Tweezers - Chargers for Camera and Cell phone As for the plane, bring snacks because plane food sucks. Also, bring a book and your ipod. Going on a cruise is like being on a floating hotel. It will be air conditioned but it will be hot outside on the decks (especially since your going to the Bahamas!) - The only accessories I would take is a purse, and maybe some earrings. You don't want to lose a lot of things or over pack. - You will probably see cute guys. Tons of guys go to Disney and on cruises they have kids clubs where you can go hangout.. Not really kids clubs but a teen hangout place. Also on the beaches there will be guys. Too bad your not going to the islands where the legal age is 16 or 17. - If you get sick on the ship, you ask someone at the first-aid center for a special pill you can put behind your ears to stop the sea-sickness. - Most cruises have formal nights so bring a dress for that! - As for spending, thats perfect. If you don't have to buy food you should be fine. if you do, bring more. Also, Orlando has some great outlet - Prime Outlets and Premium Outlets. Check out their websites! Hope this helps
