What kind of small bag should I bring to Universal Orlando/Islands of Adventure?

A small bag that wraps around you would be good, it's what I usually bring to parks. :)

There are lots of small pouches you can attach to your belt, try a search on amazon for "belt pouch." But make sure it closes completely, like with a zipper or velcro. You'd be surprised what can worm out of your pouch, pockets, and everything else. Truthfully, you'll still probably have to use the lockers a few times. At some rides they have an attendant at the front who won't even let you in line if you have any kind of bag. I've even seen people with fanny packs stopped in front of the Mummy ride, but that might have been a really gung-ho employee. But they are pretty strict about making you leave loose articles. I'm sure it's an insurance thing, the chance of a camera falling out and onto rollercoaster tracks probably keeps Universal's lawyers up at night, lol. A friend of mine was hit by a cellphone on a roller coaster that came off of someone in the car ahead of us, so it really does happen. And definitely use the lockers for the water rides. You will get wet, in some cases you'll get soaked. The time spent getting to the lockers is minor, except around WWOHP. What REALLY takes up time: Most people get annoyed because the touchscreens kind of suck. You have to use the very tip of your finger, actually your fingernail works best, and tap kind of sharply. If you don't know this, you'll spend a lot of extra time slamming the screen over and over, and then when it finally works you'll accidentally hit the wrong button on the next screen. This is why they have such a bad reputation, Universal really needs to get its act together and fix the screens or give better instructions. Also, you don't have to remember the locker number at all, as long as you use the same bank of lockers it will recognize your fingerprint and open with no problem. You shouldn't have to pay, the lockers automatically adjust the time based on the wait time. Unless you go overtime, it'll be free.
