Is the meal deal at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure worth it?

Is it possible to go around both Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure in one day?

  • We are going to Orlando in November for our honeymoon, staying in Walt Disney World however we have purchased a few excursions and further tickets including, Miami, Kennedy Space Centre, Discovery Cove, Universal Studios and of course, we'll be going shopping! What I would like to know is, is it possible to get through both Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure in one day? The reason I want to do both is because I want to see the Terminator 3D show in Uni. Studios and Harry Potter World in the Islands. I know I won't be able to see everything in both theme parks but I'm hoping to do the morning in one and the afternoon in the other. Is this possible?

  • Answer:

Yes, this is very possible as long as you are not worried about seeing everything. From the front gate of one park to the front gate of the other is only a 5 minute walk. I would recommend going to Islands in the morning and going to Harry Potter first thing when you get there since it gets crowded pretty quickly. Terminator is a large theater show and has been there for a while so it's not hard to get into. You seem to have a lot planned for your trip, but be sure to leave some time to just relax!

Congrats! I was married in Nov 04 and went to universal during our honeymoon as well. November is generally a slower month. I suggest going to Islands of Adventure first and doing the wizarding world of harry potter. then just follow the path and hit up the rest of the rides. Islands can usually be done in one morning if the lines aren't too bad. As a suggestion I would eat at Mythos for lunch, it has great food and a nice atmosphere. Then hit up Universal Studios. Don't miss Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster, and Revenge of the Mummy. Hope this helps
