How many hours/days needed for each theme park and water park in Orlando?
-
I am a single father and going this summer to Orlando with my six years old son. We'll stay in Disney's Resort; have 10 Day Magic Your Way Ticket, Park Hopper, Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining. We plan to visit all listed parks below and I need your help with the following: 1. How many hours/days needed for each theme park and water park in Orlando? (yes we plan to visit them all) * Magic Kingdom * Disney's Hollywood Studios * Epcot * Disney's Animal Kingdom Park * Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park * Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park * Aquatica * Wet 'n Wild * Island of Adventure * Universal Studio * Sea World 2. Which of the above I can combine in one day? 2. Is it fun to go to water parks in the afternoon/night (for example after 16:00)? 3. If you are to combine a theme park and a water park in one single day. Which one you should go to first? 4. Can you go to Sea World and Aquatica in one day? If so, which first? Thank you in advance

Answer:
You may want to try combining parks everyday. I've found that a full day at any perk gets tiring. We usually break at lunch time, then sometimes return at/after dinner. We will do Hollywood Studios at early opening Extra Magic Hours (additional hours only for resort guests). Then head over to EPCOT at about lunchtime, and finish the day there. Animal Kingdom is also a partial day park. The Magic Kingdom definitely needs a full day, best if broken up. Any Disney Water Park is best after 2pm. You still have plenty of sun, the rain usually hits at that time, and it is still enjoyable. Most people start heading out a few hours after they've had lunch and before dinner. Morning is when they are most crowded. Wet & Wild is also a 1 day or less park and is frequented by many locals from the city of Orlando. Islands of Adventure & Universal can be done in 1 day, if rushed. If not, 2 days max should be plenty of time to see & do everything, allowing you to return to your favorite areas. With 10 days at Disney, you have more than enough time to visit each park more than once, both day & night. Don't miss the fireworks at The Magic Kingdom & EPCOT. They start at 9pm sharp, but good viewing spots start filling at 8pm.

Hassaan: I can't answer the questions outside the four principal Disney parks, but for the Disney parks take a look at this sample itinerary for summer visitors: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-first-family-trip/basic-itinerary/alternative-itineraries/itineraries-for-the-rest-of-the-year/eastersummer-itinerary/ and these notes on how long to stay: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-first-family-trip/how-long-to-stay/ ...and these notes on how to design your own itinerary, including how many days to spend in each of the 4 main Disney parks: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-first-family-trip/how-long-to-stay/other-trip-lengths/designing-your-own-walt-disney-world-itinerary/ The site in general has lots of other great Disney World tips Have a wonderful time!! Hi. You have plenty of time to see everything, but here are my suggestions: Character breakfast, wear your suits, then head over to a waterpark b/c opens at 10am, i like going at 10am b/c there are barely any people. Then head to your hotel at 2pm, then go off to MGM from 3pm-closing. It doesnt take a hole day to do MGM. Character breakfast -great buffet and chance to photo w/ characters, at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom -earliest time possible for less crowds, then stay in Animal Kingdom until they close. Go for a late dinner and then head back to your hotel, play in the pool and relax. Animal Kingdom doesnt take that long to do, but it can if you want to see Finding Nemo the musical and The Festival of the Lion King shows, see everythign and do the rides. Dont miss It's Tough to be a Bug inside the Tree of Life, its a great 3D show! Set aside a whole day for Magic Kingdom, you could go to the waterpark in the am and MK in the afternoon and evening, especially if it's goign to be a HOT day. You could do the same w/ Epcot. If you have time to visit each park more than once, this would give you time to see everything. make your dining reservations ASAP they book up fast, starting 180 days in advance. I've never left Disney, so i cant answer your last question.

Wow, what a question! Well, I do not do the water parks so I cannot tell you about those. I understand from other people that Disney's water parks are about half-day parks, but you get really tired from all the swimming and running around, so it is probably best not to plan anything else on those days. Magic Kingdom - depending on how busy it is, you can spend a FULL day or even two there. Don't try to combine. Get there when it opens. Same for Epcot. Epcot is huge. Unless you are going to skip the back section (World Showcase), it will take at least a day. Animal Kingdom - personally, I think this is just a half day park. You could probably combine this with Hollywood Studios. Go to Animal Kingdom first though, because the animals are most active in the morning. Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios can also be combined into one day if you don't take time to see the shows. If the shows are important to you, you might need a day at each. Sea World could possibly be combined with Aquatica, but you will be really tired. I really wouldn't plan on combining any of the water parks.
