What's a good city to move to in the state Florida?

  • I want to relocate back to Florida but I don't want to move back to Saint Petersburg. I want to be close to family but not that close. I looked into moving to Orlando area but houses are so expensive there. What is a good up and coming city to move to? Aslo I am looking to build a house.

    I think you should try the 4 corners area, that is where four counties come together. (Osceola, Polk, Orange and Lake Counties) That area is really growing with housing developments, schools and shopping areas. The whole are is close to I-4 that will take you to both Orlando going east and Tampa going west.

Houses in Orlando is actually much cheaper than most of the state. Florida is a really overall expensive state but if your looking for a nice town to move to near orlando, you should try moving into Melbourne .. Palm Bay .. Cocoa Beach .. Satelilte Beach .. Those are all coastal locations that will coast reeeeeally expensive but really nice and fancy locations. If your looking for cheap homes, i recommend you to stay in the middle of the state in or around Central Florida (in or around the orlando area).

Orlando you silly kitty! Orlando is hot - But you can live outside of O and still have a good time. Try the Kissimmee area or West of Orlando in Clermont.

I moved to Orlando almost a year ago from New England, love it- Kissimmee and St Cloud are nice as is Winter Park. Housing is not bad and it is a young and vibrant area. Good Luck in your move

Lola is right Kissimmee is a great place. Or try Poinciana area. My sister and my daughter both bought huge houses out there and the prices was unbelievably low.
