Has anyone ever gone on a timeshare tour? Do they do credit checks? Has anyone ever gone on a timeshare tour In Orlando. My husband and I are interested in attending one of these 90 miniute seminars where you get discounted rooms in there hotel. I don't know what the requirments are we have only been married for 6 months. I am 24 he is 27. I know they are strict about who can take the tours. I am 24 and my husband is 27 alot of them say you have to be 25 I am not 25 but my husband is does this matter. Alos do they do credit checks? Most of them say you have to have a combined income of $50,000 which we make that but I don't show all that I make my husband also.

Answer:
these things are scams - that being said - you should not feel guilty at all about taking them up on the discounted motel rates - they are great deals in great hotels. Now as far as buying a time share during the seminar - they are high pressure sales tactics and they will scam you 6 ways to Sunday - just stick to your guns and realize that you don't need to pay $8000 now for a vacation you haven't planned yet.

look for someone selling a used one they ususally are hard up for cah and will take 75% of the original price. Just make sure it is deeded and not a 10,20,30 year one

Buy a nice little house between Orlando and Daytona Beach. Here are the prices reasonable. It's your own and you will have no problems with other people or companies.

Try the Mariott time share tours. They are not as high pressure as some others. I don't believe they do credit checks and your age should be OK. It's a little longer the the 90 minutes they tell you. That being said you should also take everything they say with a grain of salt. They will tell you that you can exchange your timeshares with others all over the worls. It's possible biut it's not as easy as they say!! If your just going for the cheap vacation deal then do it and have a good time.

Go to one of the Major Hotel Chains for their version of Time share. They won't scam you or pressure you to purchase. Marriott is a good one and so is the Disney Vacation Club. Anyone can take the presentation, but you do have to qualify (income, credit, etc.) to purchase.
