How can I redeem my disney rewards points?
-
I have logged on to disneyrewards.com and called the 1-800 number on the back of my Visa, and both send me into an endless loop that never explains how I can get a rewards redemption card to use my points. Can someone please give me the number that will send me to a live person?? I tired calling disney and they were very rude and eventually gave me a number (that didn't work). We are leaving on the 13th of January. Am I better off just going to Guest Services when I arrive?

Answer:
Log into your account online. You can go to chase.com/disney to get to it. At the bottom of your balance they list your rewards and you can click on them to redeem them. If you do not have a rewards card yet they will send you one with the points on it. If you already have one and it is not expired the points will be put onto that one. If you have never used it, it is a card similar to a gift card but it does have a date it expires (every few years). You can pick how many points you want on it and when you get more you can transfer those over too (so do not lose it). The card comes in just a few days so do it asap. The web page is far faster than talking to someone. If you have questions just ask.

yes i know that calling can be a pain but if you just jump through the hoops eventually you DO get to talk to a real person. first off if this is your first time redeming your points you should know that you need AT LEAST 20 points in order to redem them for the first time. after that you need AT LEAST 10 points. if you go online and go to your account you should be able to go to "manage my reward points", and then to "redem me rewards points", and then "transfer my rewards points". this will bring you to a screen where you can either have the points transferred onto an exsisting rewards points card (obviously if its your first time, or you lost your rewards points card, or your rewards points card is expired you cannot do this action). they also have where you can order a fresh new rewards points card. if you are ordering a new card it could take some time for it to arrive in the mail and since you're leaving in 11 days i'm not sure if it would come in time. there is an option for rush delivery which takes about 2-3 days BUT it does cost $10 so i don't know if that would be worth it for you. if you can't seem to do it online just call the number thats on your credit card and jump through the hoops until you get a real person on the line. the disney visa card is through chase bank NOT through disney world so thats porbably why when you alled DISNEY WORLD they were not much help. you can have the conciege desk at your disney world resort hotel do SOME things in reguards to your disney visa card and the rewards points card but not much.
