Question about blizzard beach and typhoon lagoon in orlando,fl?

they both have things that are good and bad about them. i like both, but i like more at typhoon lagoon. blizzard beach i think is more oriented for younger kids because they have a kiddy park and if your over 5 feet you can't do certain things. they also have the fastest water slide in the world- summet plummet. they also allow you to get to the top of it from a ski lift...so all the slides are very high. typhoon lagoon though is more for the dare devilish person. they have the biggest wave pool in the world, you can swim with sharks and they have a water roller coaster. so as you can see they both have their own pros and cons and i hope you can make up your mind now. have fun!!

The question you asked is a matter of opinion. Everyone has their reasons for why one is more to their liking. Personally because I have gone their more often and am more familiar with it, I like Blizzard Beach and find it easier to navigate.

hi, when i first went, Typhoon Lagoon was closed due to refurbishment (check the disneyworld.com website for operational updates). Blizzard Beach was really fun! I love the Tobaggan Racers. It was just me and my bf in our early 20s, we were done with everything and ready to go in a 1/2 day there. The last time we went (last april), both were open. I really liked Typhoon Lagoon, probably better, because it has the 3 watercoaster waterslides, a huge wave pool, and you can snorkle for free (i didnt know about that when i went but my next trip i am going to do that!) Whatever you do at either park, DONT miss out on the coolest icecream treat ever! Its called "the Garbage Pail" and it is about $8.00 It's actually a bucket like kids use to play in the sand and its filled with ice cream and tons of toppings, and once ur done just clean it in the restroom and its a souvenier! Go to both parks and decide for yourself but i recommend Typhoon if your more adventerous. THey have a few slides in the dark that drop 5 stories! i'm too chicken for those.

Typhoon Lagoon is better. Blizzard Beach feels more plastic and fake whereas the Lagoon feels more tropical and natural. The legend behind Typhoon Lagoon is also very clever in the way they incorporate it into the park and it's at least slightly plausible. There are more thrill rides at Blizzard Beach which a lot of people prefer but personally, I like the tube rides, the splash pools, the lazy rivers under waterfalls etc. It's more relaxing.

I always liked Blizzard Beach more. The slides are way better.
