What is the weather usually like in Orlando, FL in October?

Orlando weather- October 2009 and 2010?

  • Hi, I was wondering what the AVERAGE temperature for Florida in october, I have been twice in October, in 2009 they had a heatwave( hottest since 1940 or something, some days were over 100 degrees Celsius) then we went last year october 2010 and we had a cool front( averagely 82-88 degrees) I live in scotland, and were lucky in the summer to get anything above 70 degrees and in the winter it can get to around -10 (Celsius) so anything above 80 is boiling for us anyway. So what has the weather been like in the years before this?

  • Answer:

Its sub tropical climate which basically means we have a rainy season (summer) and a dry season (winter). In october we are just starting to transition to from our Rainy summer weather including the heat and humidity to our Dry cooler season. Usually the first couple weeks are pretty typical summer weather with temps in the 90's and high humidity. Then later in the month. Usually the week before Halloween we get a few storms brought on by the cold fronts from North. After those storms we lose the humidty and usually hover around upper 70's and low 80's. Our winters are wonderful here because we dont get snow. Its usually sunny everyday but cool and no humidity. I tend to leave my windows open all winter long. If you look at the averages The average high of Oct is 85 and the average low is 65. Like I said it really depends on what part of october you come in. I have litterly had it be 90 one day, Storms at night and then the next morning be in the 50's.
