When are the best days to visit Universal Studios Florida and Seaworld?

Best days to visit Universal Studios Florida and Seaworld in July?

  • I was planning to take a vacation to Orlando this year, but a lot of things have confused me lately. I was reading in some travel books and it said that the best time to visit these parks are on the weekends (doesn't make much since but okay), and some say during the week. Usually, you would think that during the week would be the best, but being Orlando, it might be different. Can anyone tell the BEST days with the smallest crowds to go to Islands of Adventure, Seaworld, and Universal Studios please? I don't care which days or what part of the week, I just want to know the best in July (I'm going 2 weeks after July 4th). And will it be crowded then?

  • Answer:

There is no time during July where there will be smaller crowds; you can try to go during the weekdays since Florida residents may be working then, but I doubt it will be a considerable difference. Kids from all across the Northern hemisphere are on summer vacation, and a LOT of them will be coming to Orlando with their families. Huge crowds and long lines for rides just go in with the price you pay for coming to Orlando during summer vacation, along with extreme heat, high humidity and rain every day. At Universal Studios I would recommend buying an Express Plus Pass so you can skip the long lines on rides (most rides at both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure participate with Express Plus). The downside is you can only use it once per ride, so if you want to re-ride anything you'll be stuck in the regular line. You should buy it now, though, if they even still have any available, because they only sell a certain number of passes per date. At Sea World, you can purchase a Quick Queue pass (again, there are a limited amount sold per day, so buy in advance). Unlike the Express Plus Pass at Universal, Quick Queue can be used at all the rides it covers as many times as you want. It gives you unlimited access to Manta, Kraken, Journey to Atlantis, Wild Arctic, Paddle Boats and Sky Tower. Another option at Sea World would be to pay for one of their VIP tours. These all include front-of-the-lines access to popular rides, reserved seating at certain shows (which would be awesome because even on a day without large crowds you basically have to get violent to get a decent seat at the shows, particularly Believe), animal encounters and lunch or dinner arrangements.

usually during te week day is the best day. but let me tell you this... NO TIME IS THE BEST TIME TO GO TO UNIVERSAL. you will have a horrible time no matter when you go. i would rather stay home than go to universal. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! and seaworld is very boring to. it only has 2 rides and it gets boring VERY fast.
