  • Answer:

Not the best time to plan for all this, but.. The semi-good news is there are official channels for discounted tickets. The not good part of that is the savings are minimal, maybe $5 per ticket or so. Military personnel can get discounts (on site, you can buy at Shades of Green), Travel Agents can get discounts at the window (CLIA required). Or you can purchase tickets through other authorized resellers who offer a discount such as undercovertourist.com . There are other legitimate forms of getting tickets 'on the cheap' too but you have to end up falling into those categories. Conventioneers for example can get discounted tickets that allow them to enter the park later in the day. On the shady side, there are time share companies who will offer significantly discounted tickets (upwards of 50% or more) if you attend a presentation. I only mention this for informational purposes only, I would never recommend using them as they are very high pressure sales and they often provide transportation to and from the airport or whatever so you're on their time, they're not on yours. Also keep in mind that MYW ticket prices are front loaded. Yes, it's roughly $75 a day for the first couple of days, but after the 3 day mark, the price per day drops dramatically. And the bottom line, the price may be higher than we'd all like, but it is worth it.

No such thing as LEGITIMATE discounted Disney tickets. Sorry. There's lots of scams out there, and if you get to the gates with fraudulent tickets, Disney cannot help you to get your money back or to get new tickets. Stick to buying from Disney or Disney authorized dealers only.

I can guarantee you that you will not be able to find a $15-$20 ticket. And if you do, beware! Tickets expire 14 days from their first use and are linked to their rightful owner by scanning your finger. So, you run the risk of buying a ticket, getting to the machine, sticking the ticket it and finding out it's expired. Or, having to stick your fingers on the pad and then being rejected. It's not worth it. Buy your tickets from a legitimate place, like a Disney Store, Disney World park or a reputable travel agent. Adult (age 10+) Base Ticket (one theme park per person per day) 1 day = $75.00 2 day = $149.00 ($74.50 per day) 3 day = $212.00 ($70.67 per day) 4 day = $219.00 ($64.75 per day) 5 day = $222.00 ($44.40 per day) 6 day = $225.00 ($37.50 per day) 7 day = $228.00 ($32.75 per day) 8 day = $231.00 ($28.88 per day) 9 day = $234.00 ($26.00 per day) 10 day = $237.00 ($23.70 per day) *As you can see, the only way you are going to get close to $20 a day is if you buy a 10 day ticket. You can do that, but keep in mind that it will expire 2 weeks after you first use it. So, if you're only there 7 days you will end up wasting the other three, unless you buy the No Expiration option.

You asked... I answered

You'll never see a $20 Disney ticket. The best you'll do it $50 and that's hard to come by.

Go through Disney for the best options and to get the most from what you pay. You can get them at their website. Good luck this is THE BUSIEST time to go. Skip the park hopper option as you will spend all day in lines. Also pick up a copy of The Unofficial Guide to WDW it is VERY MUCH worth the money and will help you navigate to the best rides and skip the stuff that is more for the kids. They actually have a touring plan for adults without kids. Get it and read it on the way. It will also list some great ways to save money. We buy a new copy every time we go.

There are gift shops, gas stations even hotel guest service desk that have these offers. The catch is you have to attend a timeshare sales presentation which takes a couple of hours. Can be high pressure sales pitch but you are under no obligation. You can get some cheap tickets that way. http://orlandotouristinformationbureau.com/
